Geochelone sulcata
African spur-thighed tortoise

The middle of three stamps features a 'Cameroon tortoise'. From the carapace shape and patterning this does not appear to be a hingeback tortoise (Kiniyxs) of which four species occur in Cameroon, but an African spur-thighed tortoise (Geochelone sulcata), a widespread African species which is not well documented in Cameroon.

Varanus niloticus
Varanus ornatus
Ornate crocodile

One of two stamps features a monitor lizard. Three species are present in Cameroon and two are closely related water monitors, former subspecies, the Nile monitor (Varanus niloticus) in the north and Ornate monitor (V.ornatus) in the south. Considering the bold markings of the monitor on the stamp, it probably represents the southern Ornate monitor.
