GROUNDHOG DAY

I have three days in the collection. I started with the genus Toxicocalamus: T. holopelturus, T. misimae, T. mintoni, T. pachysomus, T. stanleyanus and T. preussi. These taxa took me most of the day to photograph for scale counts and arrangements.

The Bishop Museum contains 16 of the 18 known T. holopelturus, one of only four T. misimae, the holotypes and sole known specimens of T. mintoni and T. pachysomus. T. stanleyanus and T. preussi are much more common species.
