After dinner Caitlin took the students out herping around the accommodation block and returned with a number of species: Striped treefrog (Polypedates cf. leucomystax), Common house gecko (Hemidactylus frenatus), Roti Island house gecko (H. tenkatei), Mutilated gecko (Gehyra mutilata), a juvenile Tokay gecko (Gekko gecko), and a Brahminy blindsnake (Indotyphlops braminus).
