.... for the first time in the ten phases of the project we also found all four species of house gecko in the same locality: the smooth-skinned Common house gecko (Hemidactylus frenatus), tuberculate-skinned Roti Is. house gecko (H. tenkatei), filamentous Flat-tailed gecko (H. platyurus) and the rare one, the parthenogenetic (female-only) Indo-Pacific house gecko (H. garnotii) with calcium deposits in its neck-sacks.

In the afternoon we drove down to the river and crossed to the opposite bank using a footbridge to search some stands of bamboo.
