Laca and the German team trekked to near the Raça Caves and set up their camp. They then entered the caves, which had been a hide-out for freedom fighters battling the Indonesians, in search of geckos and skinks.
In the evening they went herping but were not as successful as they would have liked, possibly because of the moonlight which deters snakes from roaming abroad.
