HABITATS & COUNTRIES

Since my primary interest is Reptilia the habitats where I work and take photographs tend to be those where reptiles may be found. There is a distinct dearth of high latitude (Arctic or Antarctic) or high altitude photography in the library, although there are some mountain shots in the library.

Habitats featured, therefore tend to be primarily tropical or at least temperate. There are images that fall into all the following categories, although many still exist as unscanned 35mm transparencies in the Expedition section of the slide cabinets illustrated on the Photography Home page. Many others have been scanned and are available in the digitized library and today I confine all this sort of landscape/habitat photography to my digital cameras, reserving slide films for living specimens only.

The library also contains images from at least 37 countries.
