PYTHONS OF NEW GUINEA POSTCARDS

In the early1990s Mark produced a set of four postcards depicting Pythons of New Guinea, with the intention of producing another four if these sold well enough to warrant a second series. In the event, they did not sell as well as the O'Shea Postcards and a second series was never produced.

The reverses of the postcards contained information about the species in addition to a small distribution map (mouse-over the postcards below to view the reserve sides). The taxonomy of the four pythons chosen has changed since the postcards were produced.

Postcards are collectable, frameable, or useable. Sending notes on postcards through the post, either open postcard or enclosed in an envelope, is a very nostalgic and personal way to communicate. For this reason these postcards were produced with an address side on the right, a small area for a scribbled note on the left, and a place for a stamp or stamps in the top-right.
