At the end of the expediton the team were invited to dinner at the home of the President of Timor-Leste, José Ramos-Horta, where expedition leader Hinrich Kaiser and herpetologist Mark O'Shea explained some of our results to our host. We were also invited to dinner at the home of Agio Pereira, Secretary of State to the Council of Ministers for Timor-Leste, the first government minister any of us ever met who was trained as an herpetologist.

On 9th February 2010 the expedition, minus Benny and the Jets, flew to Singapore, The next day the Americans returned to California. The following day Mark flew to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, to begin work on a six week project for the Australian Venom Research Unit.
