Nogales, Sonora

Nogales is the main crossing point between Arizona and Sonora, Mexico, and it lies 61 miles (97 km) due south of Tucson.

We had planned to do some early morning herping in the mountains along the border but so late had we returned to Tucson the night before that we decided instead to have a slightly later start and head for Nogales for lunch.

We whiled away the afternoon in Nogales before heading back to the United States to road-cruise the famous Ruby Road close to the border.
