Paulus Keip who was in charge of the specimen collection in the Biology Department of UPNG, was kind enough to loan me the 30 Toxicocalamus specimens in the collection so I could work through them, document their scale counts, measure and photograph them. I found two specimens in the Toxicocalamus which were not even members of that genus so the number of be examined was reduced to 28 and although still a large task but I was aided but Julious.

I also packed my own specimens ready for Bulisa Iova at the Museum to ship them to be later when the export permits had been issued.
