The commonest snake encountered in the Sangara plantation was the McDowell's bevel-nosed ground boa (Candoia paulsoni mcdowelli). We found adults and juveniles.

We also found a Little ground snake (Stegonotus parvus) under the palm fronds.

While we had only found a single Müller's crowned snakes (Aspidomorphus muelleri) at Heropa, we captured two more at Sangara. This is a venomous elapid but not a medically important species.
